In 2009, Peninsula State Park turns 100 years old. Join us as we celebrate the people and places that are part of Peninsula's vibrant past, and look forward to a new century of stewardship.
Centennial Goals
1. Centennial activities acknowledge, investigate and involve individuals and organizations that have played major roles in making Peninsula what it is today.
2. Centennial activities celebrate a century of stewardship by highlighting the splendor and exploring the ecological integrity of the Peninsula landscape.
3. Centennial activities strengthen family relationships and spiritual connections to the land through low-impact outdoor recreation, in particular camping.
4. Centennial activities are financially self-supporting through grants, donations and merchandise sales.
5. Centennial activities attract visitors from the Midwest and encourage them to discover other Wisconsin State Parks and Door County natural areas.
