The Peninsula Centennial graphic element is the primary symbol of Peninsula State Park’s Centennial Celebration – the visual signature of the celebration – and it must be used carefully and appropriately.
Use of the Centennial graphic element is subject to the user’s written agreement to the following: |

1. Peninsula State Park Centennial Goals
|
- Centennial activities identify, research and document the organizations and individuals that have played a major role in making
Peninsula State Park what it is today; moreover, they create opportunities to involve these organizations, individuals and their descendants.
- Centennial activities celebrate a century of stewarship by highlighting the splendor and exploring the ecological integrity of Peninsula's primary conservation targets; such activities cultivate a sense of connection, memory and pride in Peninsula State Park that strengthens the ethic of resource stewardship.
- Centennial activities strengthen family relationships and siritual connections to the land through low-impact, outdoor recreation, in particular camping.
- Centennial activities are financially self supporting through grants, donations and merchandise sales; merchandise and promotional items reflect Peninsula's mission statements and are affordable to the average park visitor.
- Peninsula State Park Centennial activities attract visitors from the Midwest and invite them to discover other Wisconsin State Parks and Door County naturals areas.

2. Centennial Graphic Element Use: Terms and Conditions |
- The Centennial graphic element is intended fosr use by financial supporters of Peninsula State Park Centennial programs and publications, and contractual partners, such as the Peninsula Golf Association. Use of the graphic element can only be used in association with events that have been specifically designed or modified to meet the goal of the Peninsula State Park Centennial . The graphic elelement is not intended for marketing of unrelated products or services.
- Retail products and uniforms incorporating the Centennial graphic element can not be developed by without written approval of both the Peninsula State Park Friends Group and Peninsula State Park Superintendents. Exclusive licensing of the Centennial graphic element for retail products and staff uniforms is held by the Friends of Peninsula State Park, in partnership with the Department of Natural Resources. The Friends of Peninsula State Park may extend such licensing to other suitable products upon application and with approval of the Peninsula State Park Friends Group and Peninsula State Park Superintendents.
- Permission for use of the Centennial graphic element is not transferable.
- The Friends of Peninsula State Park and Peninsula State Park Superintendents reserve the right to:
- withdraw or amend permission to display the Peninsula State Park Centennial graphic element
- require any party to change its use or discontinue its use of the graphic element; or
- prohibit any use that does not conform to the Guidelines for use of the Peninsula State Park Centennial graphic element and these Terms and Conditions or any amendments to the Guidelines or Terms and Conditions subsequently issued.
- All use of the centennial graphic element will be terminated at the close of the Peninsula State Park Centennial Celebration except where specific application has been approved by the Friends of Peninsula State Park and Peninsula State Park Superintendents.
- The Centennial graphic element may not be used on any material that is in contravention of any applicable law.
- The graphic element may never be used in association with any thing or in any way that would disparage or otherwise reflect negatively on the Department of Natural Resources, Peninsula State Park’s Centennial Celebrations, its Committee, events or products, or its supporters or volunteers.
- The Centennial graphic element may not be distorted in perspective or appearance, or changed in any manner whatsoever.
- The Centennial graphic element may be used only on Web pages with approval of the Friends of Peninsula State Park and Peninsula State Park Superintendents. Such web pages must make accurate references to Peninsula State Park’s Centennial Celebration or its events or products, and must be displayed on the same page as the reference. It must be clear to the viewer that the Web page is the individual’s or company’s Web page and not that of the Centennial Celebrations.
- On a Web site, the Centennial graphic element must always be an active link to Jasper National Park’s Centennial Celebrations homepage at xx.

3. Logo use: Guidelines |
The Centennial graphic element guidelines are in place to ensure consistency and preserve the integrity of the Centennial graphic element throughout a variety of uses and media. The Centennial graphic elelment may be used only in accordance with these guidelines: |

Graphic element integrity |
- Use only original digital artwork files.
- Never recreate, break up, rotate, angle or distort the graphic element. No alterations, modifications or obstructions of the Centennial graphic elelment are permitted. The Centennial graphic elelment must be faithfully reproduced and always appear in its entirety.
- When the Centennial graphic element is reduced or enlarged, it should be treated as one unit. Resize all elements proportionately as to not stretch or compress the logo. In order to ensure clear reproduction and legibility, the Centennial graphic elelment may not be used any smaller than 1 inch or 2.5 cm wide.
- The Centennial graphic element cannot be incorporated into illustrations, cartoons, or other symbols or logos. It should always remain stand-alone and may not be combined with any other objects, such as other logos, words, graphics, photos, slogans, numbers, design features or symbols.

Color |
- The Centennial graphic element should appear only in its original colors or in black and white. Check color for accuracy and ensure that the logo is legible in the chosen print context.
- The black and white version of the Centennial graphic elelment is to be used only when it is not possible to reproduce the graphic elelment in color.

Size |
- Always maintain minimum clearances around the Centennial graphic elelment. The graphic elelment does not have to be large to be effective, but it should have ample space around it for legibility and visual integrity. The graphic elelment should be surrounded by a clear area equivalent to at least 1/8 the length of the logo to maintain visibility when used with text, photographs or other elements.
- The Centennial graphic element should be a minimum of 1.5 inches wide (3.8 cm) for most applications (for use on 8" x 11" or larger format, the minimum recommended size is 2 inches or 5 cm). Do not reduce the graphic element below 1 inch or 2.5 cm.
- The Centennial graphic element should be a minimum of 144 pixels wide for use on the Web.
- The Centennial graphic element cannot be used in a print format when the image resolution of the graphic element has been prepared for the Web (Web graphics have lower image resolution).

Positioning |
- The Centennial graphic element position is left to the discretion of the designer. However, the graphic element should be displayed in a reasonably prominent, but not necessarily dominant, location. It should not be used as a headline.

Other Considerations |
- The Centennial graphic element may not be used in any way that might be seen as an endorsement of the products and services of a third party.
- The Friends of Peninsula State Park and Peninsula State Park Superintendents discourage any joint use of the Centennial graphic elelment with the emblem or logo of another organization for any commercial purpose, unless otherwise approved in writing.
- The Centennial graphic element also may not be used in any way that might suggest that any non-Centennial materials, activities or events are sponsored, endorsed or licensed by the Centennial Committee, unless otherwise approved in writing.

Centennial graphic element users must agree in writing to abide by the Peninsula State Park Centennial Goals, and the Peninsula State Park Centennial Centennial graphic elelment Terms and Conditions and Guidelines for Use.
