CAMPER STORY
I first came to Peninsula in 1969 at age seven. I remember going on a snipe hunt in the woods at Nicolet Bay. The first time I camped at Peninsula, my parents hid in the bushes by [Park Headquarters] to be the first at picking a site in Nicolet Bay, on the water of course. My husband and I have never had to hide in bushes to get a site, although I spend the better part of a day hitting re-dial to get a reservation.

You know the one. In fact, you told it around the campfire last summer. The story about Uncle Jack burning the entire dinner to a crisp. Or the night that raccoon made it into your tent. How about the afternoon the whole family managed to wander into a patch of poison ivy?
We hope you'll always share your stories around the campfire. We also hope you'll take time to share them with us. Send your favorite camping story and we'll do our best to post it on Peninsula's Centennial Celebration website. And be on the look-out for "Story-Patrol" in the park. We want to keep your memories alive by sharing them with the rest of the park community.
So, go ahead. Tell us a story.
