Centennial Merchandise

Peninsula's centennial must be self-supporting through merchandise sales and private donations. Publications featuring Peninsula State Park are available at Park Headquarters and the Nature Center. Please phone 920-868-3258 or email kathleen.harris@wisconsin.gov. Park staff are willing to process limited mail orders for an additional fee to cover postage.

Door County's Emerald Treasure by William Tishler, emeritus professor of natural resources and landscape architecture at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Chapters featuring Peninsula land acquisition and the Civilian Conservation Corps are especially strong. $26.30, tax included. 2006.
Door to a Man's Heart by Warren Rogers and Betty Foley. A personal memoir of a man lost his heart to Door County while courting his life-long sweetheart. $18.95, tax included. 2006.
Peninsula Camp Cookbook is still available. Over 1,200 copies of this collection of recipes and park stories have been purchased, with about sixty copies remaining. $10.55, tax included. 2005.
Horseshoe Island: The Folda Years by Stanford H. Sholem. Discover the riches to rags story of the Nebraska banker who once enjoyed a summer estate of Horseshoe Island. Horseshoe is the only island that is part of Peninsula State Park. $13.65, tax included. 1998.
The Park by Norman R. Aulabaugh, president of Friends of Peninsula State Park. Aulabaugh reveals early park history and personal stories of his 57 years of camping through short vignettes and park photos. $10.55, tax included. 2006
