Be part of the effort to teach children about Peninsula, preserve the park's unique natural and historical features, and celebrate Peninsula's first 100 years. Contact Norm Aulabaugh, Friends of Peninsula State Park, for information about
  • Friends Board Member - Established in 2007, the Friends are working to organize the group, develop start-up objectives, and support key Peninsula education programs.
  • Friends Committee Member - Short term projects and hands-on tasks.
Contact Kathleen Harris, Peninsula Naturalist, for information about
  • Spook-tacular Halloween Hike - Assist with set up, decorations, sewing costumes, staffing a spooky-fun station, parking cars, clean up.
  • Historical Research and Archives—Library/internet research, cataloguing historical photos, special assignments.
  • Peninsula Steward—Inventory trails for invasive species, pull garlic mustard, survey native plants, and other resource management projects. Scout/Youth Groups welcome
Contact Tom Blackwood, Peninsula State Park Superintendent, for information about
  • Camp Host—Camp at an assigned site in one of four Peninsula campgrounds in exchange for performing light maintenance and offering visitor information.
  • Nature Center Host—Camp at an assigned site in exchange for staffing the Nature Center, performing light maintenance, and assisting at programs.
